I am a traditional nursing student. Can I just take prerequisites with you to accelerate my program?

Sure.  You do not have to have a particular license to do the prerequisites.  You should check with your school to make sure they accept transfer credits earned through credit by examination.  Credit by examination credits are now accepted at over 3,800 different accredited colleges and universities.  It is actually the fastest growing sector of education.  Just to be on the safe side though you should make sure your school accepts credits earned through CLEP and ECE exams.  If they do then you can become an RNBP member just for as long as you need to pass your prerequisites and then simply cancel your membership.  You will not be able to transfer any nursing course credits though.
